'here comes trouble'

今日は、new tutorのTalon(fromGeorgia, in the USA)のレッスン。
common phease＝慣用句について話しました。



'here comes trouble'

例えばコレ。カジュアルな会話で使われるそうです。
何人かで話していて、あとから他の人がやってきた時にひと言。
here comes trouble

Talonによると
It is a playful phrase and usally makes people smile.
もちろん、troubleというのは冗談ですね。


そして、友達が風邪をひいて具合が悪い時に使えるのがこのフレーズ。
I am taking 'over the counter' cold medicine.

over the counterはmedicine that can be sold without a prescription or doctor visit
お医者さんの処方箋がなくても買える風邪薬、ということですね。


慣用句についていくつか例をあげてもらっていると、途中から来てくれた人がいたので、さっそく
