この日のtopicは
Weddings and Wedding traditions

Izzyのお友達は、had more or less a traditional wedding
「まあ大体伝統的」な結婚式をしたそうですが・・・

Her vows（＝誓い） were different than a traditional American wedding.
The officiant（＝司祭者、司会） was not a priest or pastor（＝牧師）.

誓いの言葉を聖職者でななくethical community groupのメンバーが行ったそうですよ。
キリスト教式の結婚式では
"You may now kiss your bride!"
と言いますが、

"You may now kiss one another!"
と男女平等な台詞が言われていたとか。interestingですね。


RLではみなさん独身でしたが、実際のお友達とSLで結婚したという人がいました。
「結婚したよ」という報告を聞いたら、どんなリアクションをしますか？
