'Parks'

11月6日のtutorはDavosでした。
Today's topic for conversation is 'Parks'
Does Japan have a lot of parks?
City parks ? Regional parks ? National parks?
というDavosの質問から始まりました。
大きな県立公園が家の近くにある、駿府城跡の公園がある、
イギリスからきた方はHyde Parkなどの話がでました。
We have Provincial parks as well as national ones.
Davosはカナダ在住なので州立公園があるそうです。
Close to where I live now is the Cypress Hills Provincial Park.
It's unique in terms of climate and ecology and it also is significant historically.
（私が今住んでいる所の近くはサイプレス・ヒルズ州立公園 で、
その気候と生態系の点で独特なもので、歴史的にも意義があります。）
話題は国立公園から自然保護地域や世界遺産の屋久島に及びました。
・県立公園 Prefectural Park
・国定公園 Quasi-National Park
・自然保護区 Nature reserve/Wildlife refuge(wildlife sanctuary)
色々な雑談もはいって話が盛り上がっていた際、
生徒の一人がタイプミスをして何度も打ち直し、やっと正しいスペルが出た時
Davosは冗談めかして"Ta-da!"と言っていました。
これはThe sound of a trumpet元々トランペットの音で、
It's a sound of triumph like when a magician does a really clever trick
（マジシャンがすごく巧みな手品を披露した時のような、大成功した喜びの音）
Ta-Dah!とも言いますね。日本語だとパンパカパーンとかジャジャーンでしょうか。
Expression used to present a certain accomplishment or surpriseだそうです
参加者はNatuさん、Nicolesamanthaさん、ayuさん、Evelynさんでした。
日本の世界遺産(World Heritage Site)の名称と英語表記をあげてみます
